The 'Bomber' has given his take on the fight.

Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew says Tyson Fury may need to revert to older tactics to beat Oleksandr Usyk.

The unified world heavyweight championship fight is live on DAZN PPV on Saturday, 18 May, from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Bellew's final fight was against Usyk back in July 2018, when he was stopped in the eighth round by the Ukrainian at the Manchester Arena.

Speaking to BoyleSports - who provide the latest boxing betting - Bellew said Fury's previous style of fighting would serve him better against Usyk.

"Usyk won't need to close the distance, he draws you in, he'll bring you to him," said Bellew.

"The old version of Tyson Fury under Peter Fury has the best chance of defeating Usyk, because that version of Fury got on his back foot and used his height and reach and his awkwardness to win fights.

"He'd have a far better chance. The version of Tyson Fury under Sugar Hill Steward right now is an attacking, ferocious counterpuncher who presses the fight.

"That isn't going to beat Usyk, pressing him is exactly what he wants. It will play into his hands all day."
