Trainer reveals the lightweight brought in to help Daniel DuboisDAZN
The British fighter impressed against Jarrell Miller.

Trainer Don Charles has brought in a former lightweight fighter to help improve heavyweight contender Daniel Dubois.

Dubois most recently defeated Jarrell Miller with an impressive and gutsy performance last December.

After his August defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, where he pushed the Ukrainian unified champion hard in Poland, he could soon find himself back in the mix for a title challenge.

To that end, Charles thinks Kieran Farrell could be the right man to help improve the 26-year-old.

The 33-year-old had to retire after suffering a brain injury against Anthony Crolla in 2012, but has since turned to coaching.

“It’s specifically just for Daniel Dubois,” Charles said, reported Boxing Scene.

“I’ve never worked with anybody since I’ve been doing this job.

“I am an older citizen, I’m 62-years-old and I needed to bring in somebody who understands my ethos of coaching, and since Daniel has been with me, I’ve moulded him into the type of fighter stylistically I want him to be and what Kieran does is takes that same format, and runs with it and make him faster.”

“It gives me time to keep moulding him and developing him into this fighter I envisage him becoming.”
