Tyson Fury casts doubt on a future fight with Anthony Joshua: Why isn’t this lad stepping up to the plate?DAZN

WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury believes a fight with British rival with Anthony Joshua will never happen.

Fury returned to action at the start of December when he successfully defended his WBC title against Derek Chisora when referee Victor Loughlin stopped the fight in round 10

An undisputed fight with WBA, WBO and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk looks set for early next year, but when asked about whether he will face Joshua further down the line, Fury wasn't so sure.

"Why isn’t this lad [Anthony Joshua] stepping up to the plate and taking on the challenge?" Fury told IFL TV

"What does he want to fight Dillian Whyte for? He’s already beat Dillian Whyte, fight me.

"Come to the party, bring your teacakes and your underpants, and have a do.

"It’s only a fight, you’ve already lost before."

A fight between the two British heavyweights was close to being made for December, but once negotiations collapsed, Fury claimed that it was the best and only opportunity for the pair to go head-to-head.

"I don’t either, I don’t think it will happen," Fury responded when asked whether a fight with Joshua could still take place.

"If it was going to happen, it would have happened in December just gone when Chisora stepped up to the plate."
