The WBC champion believes it is natural after a gruelling preparation.

Tyson Fury claims he is feeling ‘absolutely terrible' with one week to go before his trilogy rematch against Deontay Wilder.

The WBC champion is set for his first-ever defence of his belt after beating the Bronze Bomber in February 2020 to take the strap.

He had expected to face Anthony Joshua this summer but that became a July clash with Wilder, before a coronavirus outbreak in his camp put that fight back to October.

Fury is in Las Vegas as he makes his final preparations for his October 9 clash, and the Daily Star reported that he believes feeling subpar is normal at this stage of training.

He said: “I feel terrible, absolutely terrible. But if you did an eight-week training camp and you were just winding down and you feel fantastic, you didn’t do it right.

“If you brutalise your body for eight weeks, training twice a day, six days a week, getting battered to bits in sparring by four or five different guys at a time, if you feel great then you’re a bionic human being.

"And in a week’s time, I will feel fantastic.”
