WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury claimed that if he were to train Anthony Joshua for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, he would reclaim the Ukrainian’s three belts.
Usyk defeated Joshua in a convincing display last month, and took the IBF, WBA and WBO belts, delaying - potentially forever - a clash between Joshua and Fury to decide the undisputed heavyweight title.
Joshua is due to fight Usyk in a rematch in early 2022, and Fury believes he know where the 31-year-old went wrong against the former cruiserweight champion.
“I believe if I train Anthony Joshua for the fight with Usyk then he’d definitely win the fight. Well, you know, I’ve offered my services to him, for me to train him for his rematch. And I guarantee you he’d win! I’d get him to fight like a big man," Fury said to Foxtel’s Main Event, reported BoxingScene.com.
Fury is preparing for his own title defence as he will take on Deontay Wilder for the third time in their careers, on October 9 in Las Vegas.
