Tyson Fury was congratulated by family and peers, and described as ‘the best to ever do it’ following his win over Deontay Wilder.
The WBC champion defended his belt on Saturday night in Las Vegas as he stopped the Bronze Bomber in the 11th round.
Cousin Tommy Fury and erstwhile sparring partner Joseph Parker spoke to the BBC to praise the 33-year-old Briton.
"I'm lost for words, that was one of the most exciting trilogies that I've ever seen, it was incredible, both men showed a lot of heart and gave it everything they had but the best man came out on top," said Parker.
"They gave it everything from the first round and when you have two fighters giving it everything from the beginning that makes for a great, great, great fight."
Fury’s cousin Tommy, starting a light heavyweight career of his own, claimed: "He's the best to ever do it.
"Can you tell me a better atmosphere? This if off the scale, I'm just going to enjoy it and soak it all in, what a man."
Meanwhile, former heavyweight world champion Lennox Lewis said to Fury: "Unbelievable, great fight. You showed great heart, great determination and ring IQ. Great job, enjoy it.”
