Could the exhibition circuit be next for Tyson Fury? The current WBC heavyweight champion announced his retirement from boxing after defeating Dillian Whyte in April, but it still remains unclear on whether he decides to stick to that decision.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain , Fury has delivered the clearest hint yet that he could partake in future exhibition bouts, and he also has a list of dream opponents for when he does step back in the ring. Ranging from former heavyweight greats to Hollywood A-listers, Fury is aiming high for his crack at the exhibition scene.
“I’m gonna do some exhibition matches, they’re not real fights, but with entertainment factor,” said Fury.
“This is not professional boxing, this is pure entertainment. Hollywood style-entertainment, that’s all it is, nothing more, nothing less.
“In an exhibition you can fight old-timers, famous people, whoever you want. So, I’m looking at fighting Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Frank Bruno, The Rock Dwayne Johnson, that’d be fantastic. You never know who we could be fighting on one of these shows, but that’s what I’m hoping to do in the upcoming future.”
