Tyson Fury is preparing for the best version of Deontay Wilder on Saturday night. Sugar Hill Steward, Fury’s trainer and a fight figure who knows Wilder well, is fully aware of the threat possessed by the Alabama man and he is cutting no corners in helping Fury get ready for battle.
Steward, who worked alongside Fury for his February 2020 win over Wilder, is no stranger to the big occasions and he is not letting the history of his man’s rivalry with the American interfere with his plans. This is business as usual for the ex-Detroit police officer and he is expecting a dangerous Wilder.
"I have to consider everything,” said Steward when speaking with Vegas Insider. “We’re preparing for the best Deontay Wilder that he can be.
"Let’s just say he’s improved so much. You can’t go in there and think anything less. We’re preparing for him to come in at the highest peak of his abilities and that's how we’re training and preparing - for the best Deontay Wilder."
