Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou will square off in a highly anticipated bout on Saturday, with former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou crossing over into the boxing ring to face current WBC heavyweight titleholder Fury in Riyadh.
The fight is the talk of the combat sports world, but Fury has another contest on the horizon that is already drawing a lot of attention as well.
Fury has agreed to take on WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in a fight that will determine the undisputed ruler of the division. The two champions have agreed to a bout in Saudi Arabia, reportedly towards the end of this year or in early 2024.
On Friday, Usyk took to social media to send a message to neophyte boxer Ngannou, seemingly confirming the date of the upcoming undisputed title fight in the process.
"Francis, be careful with Tyson, I need him in the ring on December 23," Usyk posted to X (formerly Twitter).
