Zhilei Zhang will be watching very closely when Tyson Fury and Oleksandr finally collide on February 17 to decide the world’s best heavyweight.
After a lengthy period of negotiations, both champions in boxing’s marquee division will go at it in Saudi Arabia and Zhang will be eager to test himself against the victor.
One of 2023’s standout performers, Zhang made his mark earlier this year when he caused a huge upset to stop Joe Joyce.
With many believing that the result was a fluke, Zhang repeated the win in a more emphatic manner in a rematch and the victories made him the WBO interim champion.
That puts the Chinese star in a superb position to challenge either Fury or Usyk next year but who does he believe will come out on top.
“If Tyson Fury performs the same way he did against [Francis] Ngannou then it’s going to be a long night for him,” said Zhang when speaking exclusively to DAZN via Freebets.com.
“Usyk, on the other hand, has always been a hard worker, and in this industry, the harder you work, the luckier you will be.”
