Unbeaten heavyweight issues warning to opponent ahead of April clashEd Mullholland/Matchroom
There's a fight next weekend.

Jared Anderson believes he has the skills to defeat Ryad Mehry.

Anderson is just 24 and boasts a record of 16-0 (15 KOs), while Belgium’s Merhy (32-2, 26 KOs) is more experienced but has a couple of blemishes on his record.

The two fight on April 13 ( live on ESPN+ in the US ), and Anderson believes he is the more intelligent fighter.

“I have a better IQ than Merhy,” Anderson said, reported BoxingScene.com .

“You have to have a high IQ to do this. I have one of the best IQs in the heavyweight division. So make sure you watch the little things. Make sure you watch for the details.”

Anderson beat George Arias, Charles Martin and then Andriy Rudenko in August, and he is looking to kick on.

“I feel like my career is going in the right direction,” Anderson added. “The only way is up. But I’m still working like it’s my first day.”

Discussing his opponent, he warned: “He’s got a beating coming. I always come to entertain.”
