Giorgio Visioli will be in action this weekend.

Giorgio Visioli heads Saturday night's encounter with Diego Lagos with the backing of one of boxing's biggest names.

Eddie Hearn has touted the 21-year-old as a future star of British boxing, and he'll make part of the undercard to Rhiannon Dixon vs. Terri Harper's fight in Sheffield.

It will be Visioli's fifth fight since turning pro, and talking to SportsBoom.com, he revealed how he's adapted from the sport's amateur ranks.

“The pro-style suits me,” Visioli said.

“Now I can sit down on my shots properly, whereas in the amateurs you don’t get rewarded for that. It’s all bouncy, bouncy and trying to score by flicking them out.

“Being able to do that, combined with my speed, suits me a lot better.”

“Plus, now I’m not wearing those massive, padded gloves. So, it all combines to maximise the shots.

“You see a lot of people in the amateurs who are always knocking people out. Then, when they step up, they can’t do it. I’m just doing things the other way around.

“You either have that ability to knock someone out or you don’t,” Visioli continued. “That’s my belief.

“I’m doing it in an unconventional way too - off the back foot. I manage to generate that power and speed, so maybe I’ve got strong legs?

“That’s what it is - accuracy allied with speed.”
