'A body!' - Wade Plemons dismisses The Masai Warrior before X Series 20 matchup

'A body!' - Wade Plemons dismisses The Masai Warrior before X Series 20 matchupMisfits Boxing

Wade Plemons says The Masai Warrior is just "a body" for him to put down as the two traded barbs at Thursday's MF & DAZN: X Series 20 press conference before this weekend.

The pair are due to meet on the undercard of Darren Till and Anthony Taylor's anticipated bout at Co-op Live, which will be available to watch live on DAZN around the globe.

Plemons, best known as a former Misfits commentator to fans, was originally due to face HSTikkyTokky before the latter was pulled from the bill and replaced for this card.

But regardless of the opponent, the former has promised to emerge victorious and told his foe as much at a heated media event two days out from Saturday's meeting in the ring.

"A body, that's what you are," he told The Masai Warrior directly across the press tables. "On socials, in real life, you're just a body for me to knock out. Saturday, you'll find out.

"A lot of people don't really know me outside of commentary. Everybody thinks I'm the nice guy. If the people really want to know who the bad guy is, we can start this right now."

His opponent fired his own response, in a back and forth debate, adding: "Wade is an obstacle in my way. He's somebody I need to go through, to be able to stamp my mark.

"I was supposed to fight Harrison, and that didn't work out. Wade is the person, and I'm going to put on an incredible show on Saturday night. I don't feel any pressure.

"I have a job to do, and that's how I see it. I'm going to go out there and perform. He thinks a body, but he's just a body to me and he's going to get squashed."
