The Mexican champion is willing to travel to Britain to face the IBF champion.

WBC flyweight champion Julio Cesar Martinez defends his title against McWilliams Arroyo on the undercard of Demetrius Andrade vs. Jason Quigley tomorrow night in a fight which could steal the show.

The Mexican is confident he will retain the historic green and gold belt, and is hopeful he can land a unification clash with one of the other champions at 112lbs, including Britain's Sunny Edwards who holds the IBF belt.

"We want all the belts, so Sunny Edwards, Artem Dalakian and Junto Nakatani - that’s the goal," Martinez said.

"But if it can’t happen in the next year, we would have to move up to super-flyweight where we can have fights with Juan Francisco Estrada, Chocolatito and Srisaket Sor Rungvisai.

“It would be an honor to fight Sunny, a great opportunity and to put behind what happened in the fight with his brother Charlie. He has a belt, and we want to unify, so gladly we’d go to England for the fight.”

Martinez faced Charlie Edwards in August 2019 in a fight which ended up being ruled a no-contest after Martinez landed a shot while Edwards was on a knee in the third round.
