SHEFFIELD - Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn has his sights set on a trip to America for IBF featherweight champion Kid Galahad and a unification clash WBO champion Emanuel Navarrete.
Galahad makes his first title defence against Spanish veteran Kiko Martinez on Saturday night in his homecity of Sheffield, a fight which you can watch exclusively live on DAZN (Except AUS and NZ).
Speaking to DAZN after Thursday's press conference, Hearn made clear what his future plans were for Galahad if he gets past Martinez.
"That's the fight we want to make," Hearn said when asked about whether a clash with Navarrete would be next.
"With Kid Galahad you’ve got to sometimes take him out to America for those kind of fights because no one’s going to be queuing up to face Kid Galahad.
"We’ve got the brilliant fight between Michael Conlan and Leigh Wood, and maybe he can fight the winner of that.
"But I think Navarrete is the one."
