Ben Whittaker has yet to confirm his next fight, with a return to the ring likely to be early-to-mid-2025.
Whittaker is currently recovering from a serious ankle injury, which he sustained against Liam Cameron during their October bout in Saudi Arabia .
The injury occurred as the two fighters went over the ropes during their closely fought contest. Whittaker has unable to continue and the match was scored a draw based on the rounds that had already been completed.
A rematch with Cameron has been muted as Whittaker's next bout.
Ben Shalom, Whittaker’s promoter has recently said: "We want to make sure that he's absolutely A-ok, and then, yes, he should be able to go."
"He will not fight this year [2024], but we're looking for a big homecoming in February or March.
"[Cameron] is the fight that is in the front of my mind, is in the front of his mind. But first and foremost, we need to see him come back fit."
