Katie Taylor and Carl Frampton both have world championships to their names, but Michael Conlan could not separate the two when comparing the pair on the DAZN Boxing Show.
“It's hard because no, it's different in terms of male fighters, obviously, Carl Frampton for me,” he began.
“But you know, Katie Taylor is the queen of boxing and has achieved more than anybody in the sport in Ireland. So you know, she's obviously the best female boxer in Ireland, but also one of the greatest athletes Ireland's ever had.”
However, Conlan does regret not having the chance to test himself against Frampton.
“We have respect, me and Carl. We were friends. It would have been probably nice to do that,” he said.
“But we're friends and don't really want to upset friends. Carl is a friend and I don't think we would have faced each other.”
