It’s a bustling Saturday for boxing, with four massive cards on the docket.
The action kicks off with Jaime Munguia taking on Kamil Szeremeta from the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas. After opponent changes, Munguia finally has his opponent and a tough one in the former middleweight title challenger with this early evening tilt.
From there, there will be three cards rounding out the night, including one headlined by the legendary Chavez family. That card pits Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. MMA legend Anderson Silva, with Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. clashing with Hector Camacho Jr. in a special exhibition bout, live from Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Simultaneously, Jermall Charlo will put his WBC middleweight title on the line against Juan Macias Montiel live from the Toyota Center in the champion’s hometown of Houston.
An hour later will see another undefeated champion attempting to make his latest title defense, as IBF/WBA unified bantamweight champ Naoya Inoue returns to the ring to face Michael Dasmarinas at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The card’s co-main event features Mikaela Mayer making her first defense of her WBO junior lightweight title against former two-weight world champion Erica Farias.
