When Saul "Canelo" Alvarez announced his second fight of 2023, many thought he would be taking on middleweight champion Jermall Charlo.
The logic was that, at 33, Jermall would step up a single weight class in order to improve his power and make a serious challenge against the Mexican.
However, when the deal was finally announced, it was confirmed that undisputed light middleweight champion, Jermell Charlo, would be the twin to face off in the ring.
That means his fellow four-belt opponent needs to come up from 154lbs, giving him an extra 14lbs he may need to pack on ahead of the weekend's fight.
