Who is Jake Paul? Background, record, championships, biggest wins of Tommy Fury’s next opponentDAZN

Jake Paul is now six fights into his career as a professional boxer, but his matchup on Sunday is his biggest yet.

After numerous cancellations and frequent verbal exchanges on social media, Paul will finally face Tommy Fury when the two go head-to-head in Saudi Arabia.

To the dismay of the majority of traditional boxing fans, this is a fight which will generate huge interest due to the mass followings both Paul and Fury posses, and if 'The Problem Child' is able to beat Fury, it will prove that he can mix it with those who box for a living.

Ahead of Sunday's clash, DAZN takes a look at Paul's professional boxing career below.

What is Jake Paul's professional record?

Jake Paul currently boasts a 6-0 record with four of those wins coming by way of knockout.

Championships

Jake Paul is yet to win a title in the world of professional boxing.

Biggest wins

Jake Paul knocks out former UFC fighter Ben Askren; April 17, 2021

After facing YouTubers and a former NBA player in his previous fights, Jake Paul stepped up and faced someone who made a career in MMA.

This came in the form of Ben Askren who was met with criticism as he was someone known for his grappling ability and not a massive puncher.

Paul made easy work of Askren when they met in New Orleans, hitting his fellow countryman with an overhand right in the first round which sent Askren straight to the canvas and signalled the end of the fight.

Jake Paul victorious in a rematch against Tyron Woodley; December 18, 2021

Once again, Jake Paul was putting his skills to the test against another MMA star and this time it was UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

Paul and Woodley first fought in August 2021 in a fight which saw 'The Problem' be declared the winner via a split decision, so it was no surprise that the two would meet in a rematch four months later to settle the score.

The fight took place in Tampa and it was already looking like a brutal contest when a clash of heads in round two saw Paul covered in blood for the rest of matchup.

But just like the Askren win, Paul once again threw another brutal right hand, this time in round six, which sent Woodley to the ring canvas face down.

This brought a conclusion to a successful 2021 for Paul who won all three of his fights during the 12-month period.
