Who is Maricela Cornejo? Background, record, championships, biggest wins of Claressa Shields' next opponentDAZN

The unified women's middleweight champion Claressa Shields has already described herself as the 'GWOAT' - the Greatest Woman of all Time - and she steps in the ring looking to improve her legacy further.

Her opponent is a late replacement, Maricela Cornejo, who comes into the fight as the underdog but with a decent resume of her own.

The 36-year-old is a former title holder, having won the WBC International super middleweight strap back in 2015.

She has had a few shots at a full world title, and is yet to succeed in her ambition to claim one, but an upset on Saturday night would propel her to unified status in one leap.

DAZN takes a look at the career of Cornejo ahead of this huge fight below.
