Nine months have passed since Teofimo Lopez lost his WBA, WBO and IBF world lightweight titles to George Kambosos Jr, but now the American is set to make his in-ring return on Saturday night when he takes on Pedro Campa in Las Vegas.
While Campa maybe an unknown name to some fans, the 36-fight veteran will pose a strong test to Lopez as discussed in Darren Barker's latest column for DAZN.
If Campa can overcome Lopez at the weekend, he will then have broke onto the world stage and has the chance to land some of the big names at 140lbs.
Championships
Even though Pedro Campa has enjoyed an 11-year career as a professional boxer, the Mexican has never fought for a world title.
Biggest wins
The upcoming fight with Teofimo Lopez will be the first time Pedro Campa will have fought outside of Mexico and as a result, there are no notable names on his record.
However, Campa does come into this fight on the back of a four fight winning streak with three stoppage wins over Carlos Sanchez Valadez, Abimael Cruz Bautista and Kevin Betancourt.
