Who is the better fighter, Errol Spence or Terence Crawford? Tony Bellew breaks down undisputed clash

Who is the better fighter, Errol Spence or Terence Crawford? Tony Bellew breaks down undisputed clashDAZN

The countdown is well and truly on for one of the biggest fights of the year.

Errol Spence and Terence Crawford will finally meet for the undisputed welterweight title in Las Vegas on July 29 and Tony Bellew broke down the eagerly anticipated contest on The DAZN Boxing Show

"Errol Spence in my opinion is the modern day Marvin Hagler, he walks you down, he bullies you, he roughs you up," Bellew said.

"He takes a shot really well, his defence is pretty much on point."

Moving onto Crawford, Bellew believes that the Nebraska fighter may need to avoid getting into dogfight with Spence.

"For Terence Crawford he is going to have to play the skill game and navigate his way through the first six," Bellew continued.

"He might find it being a bit much trying to mix and getting a bit roughed up by Errol Spence.

The former world cruiserweight champion was then asked who out of Spence and Crawford is the better fighter, and while it was an easy choice for Bellew, he did have some doubts when it comes to how his choice will fare come the end of July.

"Terence Crawford. I just think that he has more strings to his bow, that’s the only difference," Bellew stated.

"I really love Errol Spence, I think he’s an absolutely brilliant fighter and I’m not detracting from him in anyway, I just think Terence Crawford does more stuff.

"He’s capable of more things in a boxing ring, front foot, backfoot, he’s got everything.

"Pound-for-pound he carries a little more pop than Errol Spence, but saying that at welterweight, I’m not sure he has the same kind of power, the same kind of strength as Errol Spence."
