Chris Mannix and Sergio Mora discussed George Kambosos Jr's next move on The DAZN Boxing Show.

Negotiations for the next opponent to face unified lightweight champion George Kambosos Jr. are a bit chaotic to say the least.

First it looked like WBC champion Devin Haney was the frontrunner to land an undisputed fight against the Australian, but after alledged 'poor' offers, it looks like Kambosos could now be facing one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters in Vasiliy Lomachenko.

When debating who Kambosos should face next on the latest instalment of JABS, Sergio Mora made the case for Haney and the chance to make history.

"That’s easy, I’m going to with Devin Haney because we’ve got to make undisputed indisputable again," Mora said.

"What’s going on here, these guys don’t want to fight for all the belts, they don’t want to make history.

"This is something that they should be running towards and Devin Haney’s said he’s willing to fight Kambosos on the moon, but right now he’s not willing to go Down Under and fight in Australia.

"But then there’s the flip side to that coin, Kambosos has an argument too. I don’t know who’s telling the truth, but that’s the fight I want to see, undisputed, all the belts, leave all doubt on the table."

Chris Mannix on the other hand made the case for Ryan Garcia, citing his huge following and marketability as a key asset.

"I pick Ryan Garcia personally because I think Ryan Garcia is the most marketable fight that George Kambosos can make," Mannix claimed.

"Garcia of course the biggest star out of all those three because of his social media following, his popularity, it speaks for itself.

"And if I’m assessing my chances against these three guys, right now I say George Kambosos has the best chance of beating Ryan Garcia.

"He is the least kind of experienced, at least at the top level of the guys that I mentioned.

"He’s coming off a fairly significant layoff because of outside the ring issues and hand issues, so I try and find a way to make that Garcia deal work."

The DAZN Boxing analyst also stated that Haney is very close to losing his opportunity to make history, while Vasiliy Lomachenko is doing everything he can to reclaim the WBA, WBO and IBF lightweight titles.

"Devin Haney I feel like is very close to blowing this," Mannix began.

"One thing that Vasiliy Lomachenko has done over these last weeks and months is told Top Rank to do whatever it takes to make this fight happen.

"He’s not worried about the money; he’s not worried about fighting in Australia twice, in fact he has told people at Top Rank, there’s a gap financially between what Kambosos wants and what he wants, to take the money from his side and put it over towards Kambosos.

"He did something similar in his last fight with Teofimo Lopez back in 2020 so he’s doing everything it takes."
