Overtime Boxing staged its latest event on Friday with Elijah Pierce's super bantamweight clash against Jose Sanmartin being the main event.
Pierce managed to extend his professional record to 20-2 (16 KOs) with a unanimous decision win over Sanmartin, who provided a stern test.
Sanmartin looked to put the pressure on from the opening bell and Pierce initially found it difficult to land any clean punches.
Pierce made an inroad in the fourth with a body shot which slowed Sanmartin down, but this did not stop the Colombian from continuing to pile on the pressure.
Despite Pierce beginning to find frequent success in the later rounds, Sanmartin showed impressive determination, but Pierce snatched the victory with scores of 97-93, 97-93 and 99-91.
