Anthony Joshua will not fight Jarrell Miller in August after failing to secure a bout with former rival, Dillian Whyte.
That’s the verdict from Eddie Hearn who is currently plotting the next move for Joshua following his man’s comeback win this past April when he defeated Jermaine Franklin on points in London.
Hearn had been hopeful of securing a second professional meeting between Joshua and Whyte for August 12, but it appears that fight is no longer happening.
With the search for a new opponent underway, Miller, who Joshua was supposed to face in 2019 before the American failed a drug test, has been mentioned, but Hearn was quick to address the possibility of that fight taking place.
“I mean, it’s not a fight we are looking at,” said Hearn when discussing a potential Joshua vs. Miller meeting with IFLTV.
“It’s not a fight that we’ve been offered. It’s not a fight we’re discussing. It’s not going to be Jarrell Miller on August 12th.”
