Dillian Whyte is just the start of a three-fight campaign that Eddie Hearn says Anthony Joshua must emerge victorious in if he’s to enter the Boxing Hall of Fame.

Joshua and Whyte will renew hostilities on August 12 as they continue their rivalry that brought us a thrilling encounter that was won by Joshua back in 2015.

If successful, Joshua is speculated to face Deontay Wilder at the end of this year in a contest that is many years in the making.

Another bout for Joshua that has simmered for a long time is Tyson Fury. The domestic rivals have been close to an agreement on several occasions, but the fight is still not confirmed.

Hearn is adamant that if Joshua can register victories against the Whyte, Wilder, and then Fury, he’ll be a certainty for the Hall of Fame.

“If you beat Dillian [Whyte], [Deontay] Wilder and [Tyson] Fury, you’re in the Hall of Fame. No pressure,” said Hearn when speaking to talkSPORT
