George Kambosos has hinted that he could walk away from boxing if he’s unable to settle the score with Devin Haney later this year.

The lightweight rivals meet for a second time on October 15th in Melbourne following their earlier meeting in June when Haney was far too good for the gritty Australian as he ran out a wide points winner.

Many within in the sport of boxing have questioned the need for a rematch due to how easy Haney won the original meeting, but the rematch was already in place before the first bout even took place.

Kambosos is promising a better version of himself this time around and he’s even suggested that it could be ‘goodbye’ if he’s unsuccessful.

“No Plan B. Do or die. And like I said, if I’m not victorious, ‘adios, Ferocious Kambosos.’” said Kambosos when speaking to Fight Hub.

“I’m in such a great position, I’m blessed to be in this position, and I thank God for this position because I’m one victory away from being at the top again and having all the belts.

“It’s a beautiful thing, it’s where I’ve been my whole career, and I love that underdog mentality. I lost that in the last fight, I didn’t have that. So, to be back in the trenches, to be back in the dark where I’m left alone. I can train in peace. I’ve been able to get rid of a lot of baggage around me.”
