Eddie Hearn is currently planning the next stage of Conor Benn’s career with the unbeaten welterweight due to fight in the summer.
Benn returns to the ring following a lengthy absence due to an adverse finding in a drug test when preparing to face Chris Eubank Jr at the backend of last year.
With Eubank Jr still a possibility to be in the opposite corner of Benn when he makes his long-awaited comeback, Hearn has also mentioned the possibility of Benn facing Manny Pacquaio.
The legendary Filipino has not fought since losing to Yordenis Ugas in 2021, but Hearn, the promoter of Benn, has named Pacquaio as a potential opponent for Benn.
“It’s time now for Conor Benn to get back in the ring, and there will be a big announcement shortly,” said Hearn when speaking to Boxing Social.
“We’re in negotiations with Manny Pacquiao, we’ve had a number of site offers to stage Manny Pacquiao against Conor Benn.
“Conor Benn also wants to tear Chris Eubank Jr to pieces, he wants that fight badly. We love that fight, it’s a massive fight.”
