Yoenis Tellez makes unanimous decision over Joseph Jackson look easy on MVP card

MVP Prospects returned with an event Friday night, live on DAZN.

Jake Paul's and Nakisa Bidarian's Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has a bright prospect on its hands.

Yoenis Tellez dropped Joseph Jackson en route to a unanimous decision shutout in the junior middleweight headliner of the Most Valuable Prospects VI card Friday night at the Caribe Royale Casino in Orlando, Florida, and live on DAZN. All three judges scored it 100-89 in Tellez's favor.

Tellez immediately started the fight by making deposits to the body with his jab before clipping Jackson with a left hook.

And that would be foreshadowing as the 23-year-old Cuban unloaded a massive left hook across the jaw to drop Jackson with a thud to Paul's delight.

Jackson rose off the canvas and Tellez tried to finish him that round, but the former survived the frame.

Tellez swiveled Jackson's jaw in the fourth round as well with the latter's only response being a flush low-blow at the bell, crumbling Tellez who was in writhing pain. Tellez was given time to recover before starting the fifth and that shot below the belt proved to be the only offense Jackson could muster.

Tellez controlled the pace off his front foot the rest of the way through, seemingly landing shots at will with Jackson in survival mode until the final bell. Tellez wobbled Jackson in the 10th and final round, threatening to stop him within the distance.

With the victory, Tellez improves to 8-0 with six knockouts, while handing Jackson (19-1, 15 KOs) his first pro loss.

"This goes to show that this generation of Cubans, we don't run," Tellez said through a translator on DAZN. "We stand, we fight, that's what we do."

Here's how the entire Tellez-Jackson main card went.
