Joe Joyce and Zhilei Zhang renew hostilities this weekend and Tyson Fury, the WBC heavyweight champion, is backing Zhang to record another win.
Earlier this year, the Chinese star caused a sensational upset when he broke Joyce down before stopping him and inflicting the first professional defeat on the 2016 Olympic silver medallist.
Joyce entered their previous encounter as WBO interim champion and victory over Zhang would've left him in an ideal position to push on and challenge Oleksandr Usyk.
The winner of this Saturday’s rematch will be the mandatory challenger for the Ukrainian, and although that opportunity will be huge for Joyce, Fury can’t look past Zhang when making his prediction.
“Tough fight again. 50/50, but you’d have to favour the champion,” said Fury when offering his verdict when speaking to Queensberry.
“One, he’s beat him already, knocked him out, and two, his confidence will be high knowing he can win. Before he wasn’t sure. Now he knows.
“You have to favour the Chinese man, purely on the fact he’s already beat him once, and if [Joyce] goes down the same road he’ll beat him again.”
