The former super middleweight champion added another victory to his resume.

Zurdo Ramirez continued his unbeaten record and impressive consecutive knockout count against Yunieski Gonzalez on Saturday night.

In a fight shown live on DAZN, Ramirez stopped his opponent in the tenth but Gonzalez may be pleased he kept himself in the fight for so long after being on the back foot for much of the bout, with a result looking close in the third before he rallied at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, California.

The fifth round was perhaps Gonzalez’s best chance of victory when he landed a string of powerful punches, but could not press home his momentum or advantage.

In the sixth, both boxers went down when they tripped over each others’ legs, but Ramirez continued to inflict serious punishment on Gonzalez.

Gonzalez managed to draw blood from his opponent as he refused to roll over, but the referee ultimately brought the contest against the Cuban to a close midway in the 10th as he no longer looked able to properly defend himself against a barrage of blows.
