Monty Panesar compare IPL stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, describing Kohli’s approach to captaincy to be more ‘aggressive’.
Kohli is a former captain of the Indian national cricket team, and represents Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
Sharma is the Indian side’s current captain, a role he also performs for IPL outfit Mumbai Indians.
Panesar’s lengthy international career saw him play 50 Test cricket matches for England, as well as making 26 appearances in one day international cricket, and was one of his generation’s best spin bowlers.
Speaking to Safe Betting Sites he explained the differences between the pair.
“Virat Kohli is much more of an aggressive and in your face type of captain, he’ll intimidate the opposition, very intense with the celebrations and he will let you know he’s there,” he began.
“Rohit Sharma’s probably a bit cooler, calmer and he’s the complete opposite of Kohli. He takes things in his stride but is aggressive when he needs to be. You can see he has a calmer head, whilst Kohli is much more intense.”
