How do teams reach the 2023 IPL playoffs?
Once the full season has been played, the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs, with first and second getting two chances to reach the final.
What is the format for the 2023 IPL playoffs?
Before the final, there are three playoff games, Qualifier 1, Eliminator and Qualifier 2.
- Qualifier 1: This is between the first and second place teams
- Eliminator: This involves the teams ranked third and fourth, the loser of this game is immediately eliminated.
- Qualifier 2: The loser of Qualifier 1 will then take on the winner of the Eliminator.
- Final: This is contested between the winner of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2
When is the 2023 IPL playoffs and final?
Dates for the playoffs are yet to be confirmed, however, it has been announced that the final will take place on Sunday, May 28 at the Narenda Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
