The Indian Premier League (IPL) is by far the most glamorous and important T20 tournament in club cricket and the 16th campaign restarts this week with a full complement of games.
This event is unique around the world, and attracts the most talented in the game, who will compete for a place in May's final showdown.
The current title holders are the Gujarat Titans who secured to win the iconic trophy in their first ever season and will have their ambitions focused on claiming consecutive titles.

The opening game for this week's IPL is scheduled for Monday, April 3 and will see Chenna Super Kings take on Lucknow Super Giants. The match is set to get underway at 2 p.m. BST.
IPL 2023 tournament schedule
Starting on March 31, all 10 teams play each other home and away with the final game set for May 21 when Royal Challengers Bangalore face the Gujarat Titans.
The top four teams will then battle it out for place in the final, the full schedule for the knockout stage can be found below.

- Qualifier 1: First place vs. second place
- Eliminator: Third place vs. fourth place
- Qualifier 2: Loser of Q1 vs. Eliminator winner
Dates for the above matches are yet to be confirmed, but the final will take place on Sunday, May 28.
