Oktagon MMA will soon discover who will compete in the final of the 2024 Tipsport Gamechanger tournament, with semi-final bouts set for Oktagon 61 in Brno, Czech Republic.
The tournament has seen 16 of the best lightweight MMA fighters in Europe compete for their share of the €1 million prize pot. Now only four fighters remain, with the semi-finals set, with Losene Keita vs Mateusz Legierski and Ronald Paradeiser vs Acoidane Duque taking place in Brno.
Keita is Oktagon MMA’s current featherweight champion, while Paradiser holds the promotion’s lightweight world title. Former champ Legierski, and new-comer Duque will look to upset the odds in Czech Republic on their way to the biggest prize pot in European MMA.
Pavol Neruda, co-owner of Oktagon MMA, commented:
“We want to reward our fighters with the pay that they deserve. The 1 million euro prize pot for the Gamechanger has given the 16 competing fighters the chance to earn money, as well as make history by winning the tournament, and we have seen some amazing performances in this year’s tournament.
“We want to create heroes with this tournament, but our fighters’ health is the most important thing, and financial rewards are important. As we have grown, the prize money has increased, and will continue to do so.”
Oktagon MMA has proven itself on the European MMA scene, with high-level production value combined with competitive and engaging match-making helping them become one of the leading MMA promotions in the world. They recently made the five-promotion shortlist for MMA promotion of the year.
