The PFL hosted their biggest fight card ever with Battle of the Giants on Saturday in Saudi Arabia.
Headlining the card was a heavyweight scrap between former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou taking on PFL 2023 heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira for the PFL Super Fight belt. It took Ngannou just over three minutes to find the finish after taking Ferreira down and issuing brutal ground and pound before the referee stepped in to stop it.
It was Ngannou's first MMA fight since his dramatic departure from the UFC and his foray into boxing. Following the bout, he gave thanks to his son Kobe who died after his fight with Anthony Joshua.
"if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be here," Ngannou said after revealing he considered never fighting again.
Ngannou was non-commital about his future in terms of boxing or MMA next but said he still feels he has more to give to the world of combat sports.
In the co-main event, Cris Cyborg took on Lariss Pacheco in a women's featherweight super fight which turned out to be a thrilling Fight of the Night. Cyborg defeated Pacheco via a unanimous decision after a close five rounds.
