Brendan Loughnane made a winning start to the first event of the 2023 PFL season as he secured a deserved points win over Marlon Moraes.
The 2022 championship victor is expected to perform well in this year’s event, and he got his campaign off to a winning start as his variety of attacks were enough to always keep him that one step in front.
Loughnane was in control from the outset, and it became clear early on that targeting the legs of Moraes was an obvious tactic for the Manchester man.
As the fight went on, Loughnane grew in confidence and after building an initial lead, his priority was securing it and he was able to do that as he took the verdict after five rounds.
