Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall wasted no time renewing hostilities following the announcement Marshall had joined the PFL.
Rivals in both amateur and professional boxing, the pair are now set to continue their feud under MMA rules with both fighters now both appearing under the PFL promotional banner.
Shields only endured one defeat in the unpaid code and that came against Marshall.
The result followed both fighters around for years and their meeting last year was one of the year’s most anticipated fights.
Marshall tried desperately but she was unable to make a mark in the bout as Shields built an early lead and done more than enough to maintain it.
Now both looking to capture success in MMA after successful periods in boxing, Shields and Marshall came face to face for the first time inside the cage as they both appeared in New York to publicise the PFL play offs.
The pair know each other well in the boxing world but how long do we have to wait to see them test themselves against each inside the cage?
