Conor McGregor admits that he thought his MMA career was over after suffering a serious leg injury in his 2021 trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier.
The incident, which prematurely ended their rubber-match fight in the headline slot at UFC 264 almost two years ago, provides a significant portion of the Netflix documentary series 'McGregor Forever' which comes out on May 17, as confirmed by the Irish star on social media.
The Twitter post also contains the trailer video for the series, featuring his confession that he thought he'd never fight again.
McGregor will now return to the UFC later this year when he faces Michael Chandler as part of The Ultimate Fighter, season 31.
"You heard it here first," said Conor on social media. "My brand new documentary series McGregor Forever, is coming to Netflix on May 17!
"The only place to hear my true story, which is only getting started!"
