Conor McGregor says he's three weeks ahead on leg rehab schedule

Conor McGregor says he's three weeks ahead on leg rehab scheduleDAZN
Positive news for "Notorious."

It has been just over a month since Conor McGregor fractured his leg in a trilogy match loss to Dustin Poirier.

But the MMA superstar wants the world to know that his rehab is going way better than anticipated.

When asked about it by TMZ Sports on Thursday, McGregor said his leg rehab is going "very well" and "three weeks ahead of schedule.

"Five weeks, five days since the surgery and they told me I wouldn't be able to cycle until eight weeks," McGregor said after coming out of a doctor's office visit in Los Angeles. "And, he just told me just here today that I can cycle again!"

That's positive news considering how violent of a fracture the 33-year-old suffered back at UFC 264 on July 10. The moment came when McGregor threw a left hand and his left leg shattered underneath him. Writhing in pain, McGregor couldn't continue and Poirier was awarded with the first-round TKO due to a doctor's stoppage.

Still, that didn't stop "Notorious" from calling Poirier out for a fourth fight, while hurling insults at his wife.
