Conor McGregor's potential return to UFC seems closer than ever after the MMA star posted what appeared to be a Fight Pass screenshot to his X account on Sunday.
McGregor hasn't been in the Octagon since losing to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. That was the second straight loss to Poirier that McGregor had suffered, and his third defeat overall in his four most recent bouts.
Speculation about McGregor's next move continued in the two years since, but the 35-year-old has recently teased a return to UFC against Michael Chandler, telling talkSPORT earlier this month while ringside at the Anthony Joshua vs. Robert Helenius fight that Chandler would be his opponent "in December and then [Justin] Gaethje, BMF and then we’ll do the Nate [Diaz] trilogy."
On Sunday, McGregor's uncaptioned social media post appeared to confirm the time and date for a potential McGregor vs. Chandler bout.
No venue was named in the post, but Saturday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET seems to be the target for McGregor's UFC return.
