Dan Hardy has named the one thing that is stopping a potential clash between Francis Ngannou and UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
After Jones claimed the vacant belt with a win over Ciryl Gane in March, many fans have been crying out for a fight against Ngannou, but this may prove difficult after Ngannou announced that he was joining the PFL last month.
But this has not stopped the excitement levels increasing after the pair went face-to-face during this past weekend's PFL 5 event.
Now with the PFL willing to co-promote a Ngannou and Jones fight with the UFC, Dan Hardy believes there is just one man who will stop this mega fight from happening.
"I have a lot of friends within the UFC, as I know you do as well, that work behind the scenes and everybody that I speak to wants this fight to happen," Hardy told The DAZN MMA Show.
"I can’t even tar everybody with the same brush and say it’s the UFC standing in the way. It’s Dana White, he’s the one person.
"He used to be a fight fan, this is what frustrates me so much, he used to be a fight fan. If he was still living in Boston teaching boxercise, he would be desperate to watch this fight.
"This is a mouth-watering opportunity for mixed martial arts to see the two biggest names in the sport come together."
