There is some uncertainty surrounding Conor McGregor's UFC comeback.

The build-up to Conor McGregor's UFC comeback has not been a smooth one.

The Irishman is scheduled to finally step into the Octagon for the first time since 2021 when he takes on Michael Chandler in Las Vegas at UFC 303 on June 29.

However, there have been concerns over recent weeks about McGregor's mental wellbeing as a number of social media posts showed McGregor partying until the early hours ahead of the fight.

Following the cancellation of a press conference for McGregor vs. Chandler in Dublin, fans were worried that the event was in danger of not taking place.

UFC president Dana White recently appeared on the Flagrant Podcast and while he did not indicate whether UFC 303 will be going ahead, he suggested that McGregor's partying could be an attempt at mind games and likened this psychological warfare to boxing legend Muhammad Ali.

“I will tell you this, and I don’t like comparing people to Muhammad Ali because to me he’s the f—g [best], and f—k what he did in fighting; just as a human, what this guy accomplished – but he didn’t give a f—k what anybody said," White said.

“Ali, Conor – both are level when it comes to mental warfare, the two best of all time when it comes to mental warfare."
