Javier Mendez believes Tom Aspinall could defeat Jon Jones.
Aspinall's and Jones' names are intertwined as two of the most prominent heavyweights in the MMA world, with Jones the reigning UFC champion and Aspinall holding the interim title.
It's logical that the pair would clash at some point in the future, although Jones has stated a preference to take on light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira instead of Aspinall.

Mendez, who has worked with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev, agrees that "Jones vs. Pereira is a bigger fight than Jones vs. Aspinall," but he feels that the Brit is best positioned to actually beat "Bones."
"I think Aspinall can beat Jones, I think he's the biggest threat to Jones," Mendez told Canada Casino. "Personally, from watching Aspinall, I’ve thought he was going to be the heir to the title ever since I saw him fight way back.
"I talked about him being incredible, and I definitely think he is the one, out of everyone, who has the best chance to beat Jones."
