Bellator champion Jason Jackson is gearing up to fight Ramazan Kuramagomedov at the Bellator Champion Series on June 22, live on DAZN. The two both train out of rival gyms in South Florida, with Jackson at Kill Cliff FC and Kuramagomedov at American Top Team. That gym-to-gym rivalry has always been a big deal within the PFL and Bellator and Jackson knows it. During a recent media call, Jackson threw a dig at ATT.
“We have everything at my gym," he said "There is nothing we are short of. Everyone there is motivated. The thing about our gym is that we are one. It doesn’t matter if we come from a different culture or a different race. We are one. We are not divided like American Top Team.”
Kuramagomedov didn't acknowledge the slight but took the high road and complimented Jackson's skills.
“I believe Jason Jackson is the hardest fight in my MMA career thus far," he said. “I am definitely not taking this fight lightly. I’ve been preparing for specifically for him my whole camp. I’ve been watching all of his fights and studying him. I think this will be one of the top fights in my career.”
