This Saturday, Jose Torres and Nkosi Ndebele will face off in the middle of the cage in the Colombian capital, Bogota. They’ll do so with the BRAVE bantamweight championship up for grabs, as fans from across the world tune in to witness two of the very best lock horns with a title on the line.
As an All-African gold medallist and someone who has spent his whole professional career with BRAVE Combat Federation, Ndebele is definitely someone to be reckoned with. His amateur record speaks for itself and across the last few years, it has felt close to inevitable that he’d end up in this position.
As for Torres, also known as “Shorty”, this chance can’t come quickly enough. He has put all he has into earning a title shot with BRAVE and after an undefeated start to his tenure with the franchise, nobody can deny that he's an athlete who has done everything he can to set himself up for glory.
This bout has been postponed twice before with the anticipation gradually but undeniably growing from there. Everyone has a prediction in their head of how exactly it’ll all go down, but we won’t know for certain until Saturday. They’ve both trained hard, and they’ve made the journey to Bogota early in order to get used to the conditions.
Now, as the dust settles on the buildup, all that remains is for both men to make weight, stare each other down and get ready for the door to be locked behind them.
BRAVE CF 73 takes place on August 12, at the Coliseo El Salitre, in Bogota, Colombia. The main event of the evening will see the vacant Bantamweight World Title on the line as Jose “Shorty” Torres takes on Nkosi “The Future” Ndebele, live on DAZN.
