Le'Veon Bell's focus and confidence carried him through the four-round fight against gamer JMX, whom he defeated by unanimous decision on Friday night in New Orleans at MF&DAZN: X Series 006 in New Orleans.
"It wasn't easy, a lot of respect for JMX. I hit him with everything, but he endured everything. I plan (in my next fight) to be better than I was today," said the former Baltimore Ravens running back.
Bell brought aggression and pressure to the fight, despite JMX starting the fight with a presumptive jab that kept him out of the zone.
However, an adjustment for the second round clued Bell in on how to fight a much lankier opponent.
Although he had mentioned that if he didn't knock out he would consider it an average performance, Bell left the ring very satisfied as he was able to display his weapons and dominate his opponent.
In the third round, during an exchange of punches inside the pocket, Bell cut his opponent on the left eyebrow and although the blood was flowing hard both managed to finish the fight.
At the end of the four rounds, the judges awarded scores of 40-36, 39-37, and 40-36 to Bell.
