Oktagon returns later this month.

MMA veteran Andrew Fisher believes that Oktagon 52, held in Newcastle, will be dominated by the fight between Nathan Haywood and Dan Bainbridge.

The MMA franchise is returning to Britain for the first time since the hugely successful Stage to the Cage event at the end of last year, and they are aiming to build on the momentum that generated.

Switching from Manchester to the North East will give new fans the chance to attend and take in the spectacle, shown live on January 27 on DAZN.

Fisher told Oktagon MMA that he thinks Haywood vs. Bainbridge is going to be part of a “massive show.”

He said: "Last week was quiet, but the gym has been very busy this week with people starting to come back. There are a lot of professionals who would have trained over the Christmas period, and it's great for the likes of Nathan Haywood as he was rewarded with a fight, as was Dan Bainbridge. They're relatively new pros, and they're getting the chance to fight on this massive show on January 27.”

“Nathan Haywood and Daniel Bainbridge are both very exciting fighters. Dan is a true knockout artist, whilst Nathan has a more traditional martial arts background. He has a very long reach and he's got plenty of fancy kicks in his arsenal.

“I can't remember either of them taking part in a boring fight!"
