After 10 months of intense training, Jake Quickenden and Paul Smith finally went head-to-head at Oktagon 48 in Manchester on Saturday night.
With both men coming from the world of entertainment, there was a lot of intrigue surrounding whether two novices can produce an entertaining fight.
From the first bell, it was clear that Quickenden was the aggressor. He was immediately on the front foot landing a number of punches and kicks which Smith struggled to cope with.
While Quickenden was opting for an aggressive approach, Smith looked to utilise his takedown game, but it proved unsuccessful.
Before the first minute of the opening round came to a close, Quickenden saw an opportunity and took it.
A right hand resulted in Smith stumbling towards the cage and this was all Quickenden needed to bring the fight to an end.
Three more Quickenden right hands followed and the final blow saw Smith fall to the canvas which brought the fight to an early end.
